چکیده
Bus rapid transit (BRT) systems have in recent years become a viable and effective option for solving the mobility problems different cities around world. For these to fulfill their mission effectively efficiently, they need respond adequately situations that appear periodically or arbitrarily users’ routines, modification of system resources (e.g., buses, drivers, lanes, roads), among others. Modeling simulation many other complex are key tools support decision-making since, general, an inexpensive allows quickly evaluate effect changes on define best solution shortest time specific problem situation. This paper introduces ModeLab, web-based tool modeling BRT facilitates design models by using iconic language closer modeler, based real-world objects found this type us simpler more compact models, which easier visualize, understand, configure. To ModeLab can define, model medium complexity was developed compared with obtained ARENA®; results show significant reduction while, at same time, there identical when simulating SIMAN (a common software both tools).

Bus Rapid Transit: An Overview
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is growing in popularity throughout the world. The reasons for this phenomenon include its passenger and developer attractiveness, its high performance and quality, and its ability to be built quickly, incrementally, and economically. BRT also provides sufficient transport capacity to meet demands in many corridors, even in the largest metropolitan regions. In the United...
متن کاملThe Demand Performance of Bus Rapid Transit
This article uses a trip attribute approach to examine the relative passenger attractiveness of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems compared to other transit modes. It examines how passengers value trip attributes for on-street bus, BRT, and light rail and heavy rail systems in passenger behavior research. Empirical data is presented which suggests that passengers value trip attributes for BRT and ...
متن کاملBus Rapid Transit: The US Experience
Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is a relatively new concept in the United States and is rapidly gaining in popularity. In 1998, the Federal Transit Administration started a program to encourage communities to invest in BRT. Today, a number of cities have begun developing BRT systems, while others are actively considering BRT investments. At the same time, recent research shows that BRT can meet or achi...
